Dear Travelers,
I'm in the process of building a web based project that explores the
issues of memory and future in the region we traveled through. I want to
invite those of you who are interested to be part of it via:
https://www.people.fas.harvard.edu/~kzcarrol/
It's basically a writing experiment that's been pushed into being as
part of an exhibition at Skuc Gallery, Ljubljana. Your contributions
will be printed there and added to the 'living monument' over the four
week course of the exhibition - which opens next week. Thanks to the
different writers who have already contributed: Svetlana Boym, Galena
Eduardova Hashhozheva, Peter Lang, Wietzke Maas, John Brently Reynolds,
Ellen M Smith and Stephen Zacks, there is an installation in the works.
It will be an interactive environment for reading and writing. The
Living Monuments text is Azra Aksamija and my response to the question
that the Venice Biennale pavilion (where it's currently exhibited) and
ELF posed about the 'future'. It could go in many directions, as the
short instructions online indicate. Please take - it shouldn't be more
than half an hour - to read and track your changes to the page and email
it back to me and europelostandfound at gmail.com
xxx khadija
