<p>THE 7TH KOCHI INTERNATIONAL TRIENNIAL EXHIBITION OF PRINTS<br>
<br>
ELIGIBILITY <br>
Open to all artists.<br>
<br>
ELIGIBLE WORKS<br>
1) Prints on paper only (no other surfaces allowed).<br>
2) Size of the paper shall not exceed 100cm x 100cm(40in. x 40in.).<br>
3) All works should be created after January 2006,be original and not <br>
have been shown at any exhibitions elsewhere .<br>
4) Each artist is allowed to submit a maximum of three works. If the <br>
entrant lives outside Japan, an entry fee is not required.Those <br>
residing in Japan will pay 5,000yen regardless of the number of works <br>
they submit.<br>
5) Entrants residing in Japan should send the entry fee by postal <br>
money order transfer to:<br>

If the entry fee is not paid during the application period,then <br>
the corresponding works will not be judged and will be returned to <br>
the artist at his/her expense.<br>
The entry fee is non-refundable.<br>
<br>
ENTRY PROCEDURES <br>
1) Works should not be shipped with frames. They should either be <br>
encased in plastic/cardboard tubes or inserted between strong flat <br>
boards. The sticker enclosed with this information packet must be <br>
placed on the face of each package.Overseas entries should be sent by <br>
air mail as "Printed Matter",bearing the declaration "No Commercial <br>
value".<br>
2) The EXHIBIT FORM must be pasted on the back of each work.<br>
3) It is the applicant's responsibility to insure his/her own works <br>
(if so desired).<br>
4) Works must be sent together with attached forms fully completed.<br>
5) Works should be sent by mail to the following address so that they <br>
arrive after <br>
October 1 and no later than October 31,2007<br>

*Entries arriving after the application deadline will not be judged <br>
and will be returnd to the sender at his/her expense.<br>
6) All insurance costs and shipping expenses incurred during delivery <br>
shall be borne by the entrant.<br>
<br>
RETURN OF PRINTS<br>
1) Prints shall be returned in the same wrapping material that they <br>
were received in.<br>
2) Rejected works shall be sent back to artists within 50 days after <br>
the judges'decision.<br>
3) Accepted works (other than those receiving awards) shall be <br>
returned to artists within 30 days after the exhibition is over.<br>
4) Overseas entries should be accompanied by 18 international postal <br>
coupons to cover the cost of the return of the work.Entrants wishing <br>
to donate their work need not send postage.Please note that if <br>
postage is not included it will be assumed that the work has been <br>
donated, and as such, cannot be returned.<br>
5) In case works are returned to the Committee due to uncertainty of <br>
addresses and name ; the Committee shall assume that the participants <br>
have abandoned ownership and will dispose of the works freely after a <br>
certain period of time.<br>

*Takao Hiwasaki(1941-<wbr>1992)was born and raised in Kochi Prefecture.<br>
A great printmaker, he worked very hard to help establish the Kochi <br>
Triennial.<br>

TOSA WASHI PRIZE<br>

Award 300,000yen and "Tosa washi" Paper (worth about 100,000yen)<br>
*Tosa Washi is Japanese'Paper made in Kochi Prefecture.<br>
*Those works not using Tosa Washi are excluded from this newly <br>
created prize.Please make sure you write down clearly Tosa Washi on <br>
the ENTRY FORM and the EXHIBIT FORM-if you did so.The Committee <br>
reserves the right to not award prizes should there be no outstanding <br>
works.<br>
*Prints that have been given an award shall be retained by the <br>
Organizing Committee and Sponsors.<br>

JUDGING RESULTS <br>
Entrants shall receive results through a Judging Result Notice sent <br>
by mail.Telephone calls regarding results will not be accepted.<br>

MISCELLANEOUS <br>
1) The Committee retains the rights to photograph and print <br>
photographs of prize winning works and selected works for use in <br>
catalogues, public relations and advertisements.<br>
2) Works shall be handled with every possible care. However, the <br>
Organizing Committee shall not be responsible for any unforeseen <br>
loss, theft or damage incurred during handling.<br>
3) The Entry Form and other forms must be completed fully in BLOCK <br>
letters.<br>
4) Photocopies will be accepted.<br>
5) Overseas works shall not be for sale at the exhibition.<br>
