Artist,<BR>Dear Curator,<BR>Dear Friends,<BR><BR>From 1 to 29 July 2007, the
Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain (Luxembourg)<wbr>, the Centre
culturel Kulturfabrik (Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg), the Brukenthal Museum
(Sibiu, Romania) and the Université du Luxembourg organise the art workshop 2007
based on the theme CATCHING PASSAGES.<BR>The workshop aims at creating a
European forum for encounters, research, reflection, discussion and the study of
contemporary art. Along with theoretical and practical workshops addressing
young artists and experienced art students (Bachelor at least), public lectures
are organised both in Luxembourg and Sibiu. The invited lecturers are Scottish
artist Chad McCail and Paris-based Korean artist Koo Jeong-A. Liviana Dan
(curator, artistic director of the Brukenthal Museum) and Paul di Felice,
(curator, publisher, teacher researcher at the Université du Luxembourg) will
lead the workshop on theoretical reflection in relation with contemporary art.
<BR>The art workshop 2007 addresses twelve young artists and art students from
Romania, Luxembourg and the Greater Region, and other European countries, it
focuses on the art practices of drawing, cartoon and graphic design. In
order to facilitate selection, we would kindly request you to help us by
forwarding the application of one student/artist whom you would recommend and
the work of whom you consider in line with the theme of this year’s workshop.
The participants have to apply by 12 February 2007. Accomodation, a daily fee
and travel costs will be paid for by the organisers. For more information please
