ist eine Initiative, die sich beim 7. goEast Filmfestival gegründet hat, um die
Situation des zeitgenössischen Dokumentarfilms in Südosteuropa zu erforschen
und zu analysieren. SEEDOX.org wurde von Festivalleiterin Christine Kopf und
dem Südosteuropa-<wbr>Experten Bernd Buder initiiert, die Realisierung wird durch
die Unterstützung des Balkan Fund der European Cultural Foundation und des
Goethe Instituts ermöglicht. Bislang gab es nur sehr wenige nationalsprachliche
und so gut wie keine englischsprachigen Informationen zum aktuellen
Dokumentarfilmschaf<wbr>fen Südosteuropas. Mit der Website <a href="http://www.seedox.org" target="_blank">http://www.seedox.<wbr>org</a>, die
seit 1. November online ist, wird Abhilfe geschaffen. SEEDOX.org bietet
Länderessays zu Albanien, Bosnien, Kroatien, Mazedonien, Montenegro, der
Republik Moldau, Serbien und UNMI Kosovo. Von rund 250 Filmen sind bereits
jetzt filmografische Daten abrufbar, darunter bei 150 zusätzlich Fotos und
Inhaltsangaben. Die Angaben wurden aufwändig eigens für das Projekt
recherchiert. Die Datenbank versteht sich als "work in progress".
Bislang nicht zu ermittelnde Angaben können die Produktionsfirmen nachreichen.
Zusätzlich werden umfangreiche Adresslisten (Produzenten, Festivals,
Institutionen) und eine Bibliografie zur Verfügung gestellt. Weitere Texte und
Interviews mit Akteuren der Dokumentarfilmszene ergänzen die Länderessays, hier
wird die Website auch in Zukunft kontinuierlich ausgebaut. Mit SEEDOX.org
werden Informationen zu Dokumentarfilmen aus Südosteuropa erstmals auch
international für Festivals und Programmmacher zugänglich gemacht. SEEDOX.org
bietet komfortable Suchfunktionen.<br>

</b>SEEDOX.org is an initiative formed at the 7th goEast Film Festival aiming
to research and analyse the situation of contemporary documentary film in
Southeast Europe. SEEDOX.org was initiated by goEast Festival Director
Christine Kopf and Southeast Europe Expert Bernd Buder. It was made possible
through the support of the European Cultural Foundation´s Balkan Fund and the
Goethe-Institut. Up to now, very little information has been available on
contemporary documentary production in Southeast Europe in the respective
national languages. There has been virtually no information on the subject in
English. The new website <u><span style="color:navy;"><a href="http://www.seedox.org" target="_blank">http://www.seedox.<wbr>org</a></span></u><span style="color:black;">, online since the beginning of november, fills this gap.
SEEDOX.org provides essays on Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova,
Montenegro, Serbia, and UNMI Kosovo. Credits for around 250 films, hereunder
150 with stills and synopses, have been carefully researched for the site and
are now available. The database is a work in progress, production companies are
encouraged to supply additional information. The website also provides
extensive contacts for producers, festivals and organisations as wells as a
bibliography. Additional texts and interviews with documentary professionals
complement the essays on individual countries, this part of the site will continue
to grow. SEEDOX.org makes information on documentary film in Southeast Europe
available to festivals and programmers internationally for the first time.
SEEDOX.org offers user-friendly search facilities.<br>
