Interstitio. East European Review of Historical Anthropology is a scholarly <br>
periodical published by Rethinking History Center from Faculty of History <br>
and International Relations, Free International University from Moldova and <br>
Section History of Culture from Institute of History, State and Law, <br>
Academy of Sciences from Moldova in cooperation with Institute of History <br>
from Faculty of Social Science, University of Silesia from Poland.<br>
<br>
Resuscitation of historical researches in post-soviet space is a process as <br>
slow and difficult as the rehabilitation of the whole society. Currently, <br>
historiography in the region suffers from the over-abundance of ideology <br>
present within the discipline and the willingness of many historians to <br>
distort history in the service of politics. Thus, the process of recovery <br>
implies not only the "filling in" of so called white spots ( i.e. areas/ <br>
processes previously neglected, repressed and silenced), but important <br>
methodological „adjustments" amplified through reorientation of the human <br>
dimension of historical scholarship.<br>
<br>
The Editorial Board welcomes substantive articles on Eastern Europe from <br>
the perspective of Historical Anthropology. An essential aim of the Review <br>
is promotion of new methods, directions, themes of research in historical <br>
scholarship in the post-totalitarian space from Eastern Europe. The generic <br>
of the 2 nd issue is "Historical Research and Political Ideology: from <br>
Instrumentalisation to Dialog".<br>

Instructions to Authors:<br>
<br>
- The texts must be sent by January 7, 2008 to the electronic <br>
address of Rethinking History Center: <a href="mailto:rethinkinghistorycenter%40yahoo.com">rethinkinghistoryce<wbr>nter@yahoo.<wbr>com</a>.<br>
<br>
- Materials for publication can be written in one of three <br>
languages: English, Polish, and Romanian.<br>
<br>
- All articles must be followed by a summary in English.<br>
<br>
- Authors should include, on a separate sheet, brief curriculum <br>
vitae (inclusively: name and second name, scientific degree and <br>
institutional affiliation, field of research).<br>
<br>
- References must contain sufficient information concerning the <br>
quoted sources. The recommended system of references is: <br>
<a href="http://www.library.uq.edu.au/training/citation/harvard.html">http://www.library.<wbr>uq.edu.au/<wbr>training/<wbr>citation/<wbr>harvard.html</a> .<br>
<br>
- Special care should be taken in quoting non-English sources: all <br>
requisite special characters in those languages must be provided. Languages <br>
which utilize non-Latin alphabets, such as Cyrillic, should be cited in the <br>
original format whenever possible.<br>
<br>
- During the process of editing an accepted manuscript, the <br>
editors under no circumstances will make changes that violate the integrity <br>
of the work or the purpose of the author in any way. To avoid problems, <br>
authors are urged to submit amendments or corrections to the editors as <br>
soon as possible after notification of acceptance and return proofs promptly.<br>

- The orthographic system specific to each author / article will <br>
be maintained.<br>
