on the occasion of his art project for Manifesta 2 - European Biennial for Contemporary Art. Every Summer since then, Casino Luxembourg has been organising artist residencies around specific themes. These workshops aim at creating an international forum for encounters, research, reflection, discussion and the study of contemporary art. Public lectures are organised along with theoretical and practical workshops addressing young artists and experienced art students (Bachelor at least).<br> <br> This year’s lecturers are media and conceptual artist <b>Matthieu Laurette</b> and media and art theorist<b> Marc Ries</b>. <b>Sylvie Blocher</b> (artist, lives and works in Saint-Denis, F) and <b>Paul di Felice</b> (curator, publisher, teacher researcher at the Université du Luxembourg) will lead the workshop on conceptual reflection in relation with the theme.<br> <br> The art workshop 2008 addresses twelve young international artists and art students who will deal in their work of
