CONTEMPORARY BALKAN ART WEEK LONDON 2009<br>

For the 5th year in a row TERMINAL/00/ is staging a platform to <br>
present, promote and discuss contemporary Balkan art, where both <br>
emerging and already established artists from the Balkan region are <br>
invited to display their works. Established in 2004, TERMINAL/00/ has <br>
since become a major international event for contemporary Balkan art. <br>
Located in London, in the midst of the vibrant cultural scene, <br>
TERMINAL/00/ has received an enthusiastic response from the public as <br>
an experimental, forward-looking and contextual contemporary mixed <br>
show. The four editions of Balkan Art Week thus far have to date <br>
explored a variety of exhibition formats, visual arts, live music, <br>
DJ's, multimedia, performing arts, public talks, open forums and <br>
lectures.<br>
<br>
The fifth edition of Balkan Art Week in September 2009 is <br>
entitled /OBSESSION/ which seeks artistic interpretations that could <br>
be seen in religion, power, sexuality, politics, love, brutality, <br>
money and many more.<br>
<br>
You can apply within the following categories:<br>
<br>
[1] video/film/animatio<wbr>n<br>
[2] photography<br>
[3] fine/applied arts<br>
[4] jazz/improvisation/<wbr>electronic music<br>
[5] contemporary theatre/dance<br>
[6] multimedia projects<br>

DEADLINE<br>
The final deadline for online submission is 15 January 2009.<br>
<br>
ONLINE APPLICATION<br>
Applicants are invited to apply with their works through an online <br>
application. Where works are too large to be sent online, artists are <br>
requested to send them via mail, on a CD/DVD format, with the entry <br>
form enclosed, to the following address:<br>

NOTIFICATION<br>
The selection for TERMINAL/00/ will consist of a collective choice <br>
made by selectors, based on the submitted material. Due to a high <br>
number of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted <br>
by email within six weeks of the final deadline. The decision of the <br>
selectors is final and non negotiable.<br>
<br>
TERMINAL/00/ AWARD<br>
TERMINAL/00/ will reward the best artist/project with a fully <br>
sponsored solo exhibition/performa<wbr>nce or/and concert in London in <br>
2009/2010.<br>
<br>
APPLICATION FEE<br>
The application fee is 20EUR per entrant, which goes towards the <br>
costs of administration. The application will not be viewed unless <br>
payment is received. This is non-refundable. Payment can be securely <br>
paid online via PayPal. A tax invoice will be sent to each applicant <br>
shortly after their application has been lodged.<br>
