<p>Dear friends,<br>

In the past two years Hangar Art Association has<br>
organised "On the Street" Festival ("Sokakta" Senlik) which has been a<br>
three-day street art festival in the heart of Istanbul. This summer<br>
again, we are organising the "On the Street" in Istanbul on 14-15-16<br>
August 2009.<br>
<br>
It is an open festival to anyone, any group that would like to<br>
bring joy to the streets of Beyoglu-Taksim area, by performing any kind<br>
of art. Participation to the festival is free. In order to be scheduled<br>
in the programme and have your name written in the festival booklet,<br>
you should send the application form before 15th July 2009.<br>

Brief info about Hangar Art Association:<br>
Hangar Art Association was founded in October 2006 in Istanbul, by a<br>
group of young people aged from 25 to 35. Hangar aims to bring young<br>
artists with different actors in the society and provide them a common<br>
platform for community focussed work. In addition Hangar seeks to open<br>
an independent cultural centre in Istanbul where the disadvantaged<br>
young artists can meet with people from different professions and<br>
realise joint art projects for urban development that can contribute to<br>
