The selection procedure is open to all candidates, of any sex or
nationality, aged 35 years maximum on 1st January of the current t year
(i.e. born after 31st December 1975).
The candidates must be able to provide proof of:
• A levels or Baccalauréat (or recognised equivalent) and 5 years of study
validated by a diploma; or
• A levels or Baccalauréat (or recognised equivalent) and 7 years artistic
or professional experience; in this case, a one page argument should be
sent with the administrative application to explain how this experience is
relevant to the course at Le Fresnoy.

The candidates in the second case will sit a specific examination set by a
special committee, who will judge and validate their application. Their
decision is final.

Candidates must have knowledge of spoken French and English.

All the stages of the selection procedure (application and interviews) are
in French or English, as the candidate wishes.

Candidates admitted to the Fresnoy are reminded that the course is run in
French.

Participation in the selection procedure is free. The travel and living
expenses of candidates for the entrance examinations are at the charge of
the candidate.

SCHEDULE

The selection process is annual, in 2011, it will take place according to
the following schedule:

• Administrative application and submission of artistic portfolio May 13,
2011 midnight last limit for posting (cf. date stamp),
• 1st Selection of applications list made public and on line on June 6, 2011
• Interviews, June 27-July 1, 2011

APPLICATION FORM

Each application package is reviewed by two of the three jury members. The
list of selected candidates will be made public on June 6, 2011 at the
latest. Each applicant will be informed through electronic or postal mail
of the status of their application.

This letter will be accompanied by a questionnaire to be completed and
sent by e-mail in PDF format, by 15 June 2011 at the latest, to the
address below.

Applicants must send their complete application package postmarked May 13,
2011 midnight at the latest, last limit for posting (cf. date stamp). The
specifics of what should be in the package is avalialble on the website.

THE 2011-2012 SESSION

The term will begin onOctober 3, 2011, 10am.
The yearly attendance fees for the 2011-2012 term amount to 760, 00 Euros.

Le Fresnoy will support any admitted student in their applications for
financial support, whether in France or abroad.
