The works of the artists are displayed in the format of an
exhibition-concept that explores the subject matter of both material and
immaterial “labour processes” influenced by the peripheral context, but
internationalised, in which the works are produced.
The labour of the artist produces not just a visually perceived
material object, but also a reflexively perceived informational content.
What enables the market value of an artwork? The aesthetic qualities of the
object-commodity, that causes the judgement of taste, or the semantic
proprieties of the message of the work-reflexion, that informs the public
opinion?
The critical interests of the artists could be confronted by the
aesthetic expectations of the public, which can instigate the condition of a
reciprocal alienation. By producing this crisis of situation and
communication, there could be created the chance of a relational analysis.
As such, the concept of the exhibition bases on a cross-exchange of affects
and ideas (also concerning the mechanisms to confer value and the ideology
to prompt commercialism) with the public of an art fair.
The work of Dan Acostioaei, an application of the activist forms
of invisible theater and forum theater of Augusto Boal, proposes to see an
installation of the imaginary travels of a foreigners delegation in two
different psychogeographies. Andrea Hajtajer talks about the difficulties to
produce a work, exhibiting the storyboard of a video-essay, intrerrupted by
conditions that raise the problem of the functioning of art in parameters
that are independent by the art public. The photobiographies of Dumitru
Oboroc are destructuring the social contradictions by the abstractization of
the alienated world in which the cutting of the image speaks about the
politics of the artist’s identity. Bogdan Teodorescu is approaching by
parody icons of the contemporary informational society, representing them by
contradiction in one of the artefactual materials of sculpture and in the
medium of conceptual photography.
