Pe data de 24 aprilie 2012, ora 16:00 va avea loc proiecția #6-7 DVD la PLIC. Vor fi proiectate lucrările artiștilor: Johanna BILLING [SE],Renata POLJAK [HR], Ines KRASIĆ [HR] cu Tio TURK, Lala RAŠČIĆ [HR], Damir OČKO [HR].Potrivit conceptului de determinism arhitectural, influenţat de behaviorism şi de şcoala de funcţionalism de la Chicago, mediul uman poate fi manipulat astfel încât să fie provocate anumite tipuri de comportament. Oricine apelează la câteva dintre cele mai importante lucrări teoretice ale marilor arhitecţi ai secolului XX, va descoperi uşor atitudini ferm formulate cu privire la relaţia empirică dintre factorul de mediu şi manifestările psihologice ale fiinţei umane. Se presupune aici că mediul este independent, iar comportamentul uman reprezintă variabila dependentă. Determinismul strict identifică cauzalitatea unilaterală: stimulul (mediu) influenţează individul provocându-i un anumit comportament, o anumită stare de spirit sau atitudine. Dar această poziţie poate fi criticată, deoarece nu ia în considerare feed-back-ul: activităţile individului care schimbă la rândul lor stimulul la care el / ea reacţionează, pe baza propriilor lui / ei înţelegeri şi evaluări ale situaţiei date. Se poate spune că multe proiecte (arhitecturale) şiau ratat scopul numai din cauză că au neglijat activităţile individului care proiectează propriile lui / ei scopuri sau atitudini în anumite situaţii, ce nu corespund neapărat caracteristicilor mediului asumat. Oamenii au abilitatea de a merge dincolo de condiţiile date, de a le modifica şi de a le adapta la propriile lor nevoi. Arhitectura este prima şi una dintre cele mai vizibile urme pe care ideologia le lasă într-un spaţiu dat. Schimbările (radicale) ale sistemelor politice, urmate de schimbarea sistemului de valori, creează discontinuităţi în mediile construite, producând goluri, neînţelegeri, confuzii, atunci când conflictele din acel spaţiu ating climaxul. Indiferent dacă este rezultatul antagonismului natural dintre planificatorul şi utilizatorul unui anumit mediu sau al non-adaptabilităţii lui la viteza de schimbare a nevoilor umane, spaţiul devine de multe ori un adevărat câmp de luptă. Lucrările de artă, filmele şi videoclipurile alese pentru această ocazie examinează acest conflict, din perspective diferite. - screening of #6-7 POSTBOX DVD: SCENES, PROTAGONISTS, SYMPTOMS: spaces in the speed of changeOn April 24, 2012, 4 pm will take place the screening of #6-7 POSTBOX DVD. The works of Johanna BILLING [SE], Renata POLJAK [HR],Ines KRASIC [HR] with Tio TURK, Lala RASCIC[HR], Damir OCKO [HR] will be screened.According to the concept of architectural determinism, influenced by behaviorism and Chicago functionalism, human environment can be manipulated in order to provoke certain types of behavior. Going through theoretical works of the leading 20th century architects, it s easy to find firmly formulated attitudes about the empirical relation between the environment factor and psychological occurences in human. It is presupposed here that the environment is independent and human behavior dependent variable. Strict determinism identifies the unilateral causality: stimulus (the environment) influences the individual provoking certain behavior, mood or attitude. This stance can be criticized since it does not take into the account the feed-back: the activities of the individual who changes stimulus on which he/she reacts, on the basis of his/her own understandings and assessment of the given situation. It can be said that many (architectural) projects failed their purpose just because they neglected activities of the individual who projects his/her own aims or attitudes into certain situation, which do not necessarily correspond the assumed environmental characteristics. Obviously, humans have the ability to go beyond the given conditions by changing them and adapting to their own needs. Architecture is the first and one of the most evident traces of the ideology in space. (Radical) changes of political systems followed by the change of values, create discontinuities in the built environments, producing gaps, missunderstandings, confusions, when conflicts in space reach their peak. Wheather as a result of the natural antagonism between the planner and the user of the certain environment or non adaptability of the given surroundings to the speed of the change in human needs, the space becomes the battlefield. The art works, films and videos, chosen for this occasion examine this conflict, from different perspectives.
