What part does the past play in YOUR present? Take some photos of the world
around you, and highlight elements representing the best of how "this was"
or "this is" in your everyday life. Share your thoughts and ideas with an
European community and be inspired by different perspectives and opinions!
If your contribution (photo or comment) receives most of the user’s votes,
you have the chance to win an amazing award!



There are two ways to participate in "This was. This is.", and of course,
you are invited to be

active in both!



1. Take 2 photos, which you consider to be a good pair to express "this
was" and "this is" from your point of view. Add a title, or a thought in
the description. Please select the country where the picture was taken, and
a category, which you think best describes your idea. Altogether you can
upload a maximum of 5 photo pairs.



2. Even without taking photos, you can still take an active part in "This
was. This is."! Comment on a photo pair, which you like and which seems
interesting to you. Maybe a contribution reminds you on your own
experiences and events in your life.



Furthermore, you can vote for the best photo pairs and comments. You can
rate several photo pairs and comments, but each only once.



If you take part, you can not only gain new input and creative ideas, but
win actual awards! There wont be any external jury, the photo pairs and the
comments with the most votes by other users receive the award!



BEST RATED PHOTO CONTRIBUTION

Award: 500 Euro + Invitation to the project presentation and award ceremony
taking place in

Budapest, February 28th, 2012.

*We organize your trip and provide travel costs up to 400 Euro and
accommodation.



2ND BEST RATED PHOTO CONTRIBUTION:

Award: 250 Euro



BEST COMMENT

Award: 250 Euro



The best rated 20 contributions will be shown in a public presentation of
"This was. This is." in Budapest, in February 28th, 2012.
