In frame of the New Culture Festival «Art-Ovrag 2013. Garden city»

New Culture Festival «Art-Ovrag» is honored to invite artists from all over
the world to take part in the open Public Art Award.

Award purpose is to improve and revitalize city space. It’s aim is to
inspire inhabitants of the Vyksa to create new creative space in their city
and to provoke development of the Public-Art at professional scale.

*Award conditions**:
*Five best submissions will be produced. Maximum cost of each is 100 000
rub. (3000$).

1st prize – 100 000 rub. (3000$) – will receive best from produced project.

*Results announced (5 best projects)* – April 25
*Production* – April - May
*Winner announced* – 31 May

*Presentation of the project:*

Project requirements:

-      Work should be integrated in public area;

-      Max production cost must not exceed 100 000 rubles (3000$);

-      Technique and materials: mixed media.


Submission should include:

–         Work sketch

–         CV/Portfolio

–         [Optionally] 3D visualization (object may be integrated in one of
photos from catalogue<https://www.dropbox.com/s/1f6rltm373fj6od/AO_catalog_publicart_final_1.0_eng.pdf>
);

–         Cover letter/Concept;

–         Production costs, raw materials and production period;

–         Other materials.

The project should be sent to e-mail:*public at art-residence.ru*, with
subject Public Art Award and registration number of the participant,
maximum size of a file 15mb. Names of the files should include the
registration number. Formats of submission – pdf or jpeg.

For registration and allocation of identification number the participant
must fill the Participant Questionnaire available at the

The competition is being held anonymously, the identification number being
the only identification medium.

Official languages of the competition: Russian and English.

Organizers of the competition keep the right to amend the schedule in case
of necessity.

Organizers of the competition keep the right to publish all submitted
projects on the official festival website and websites of the partners.

Winner will be selected regarding listed criteria:

•   Creativity of artistic idea

•   Quality of project production

•   Urban area integration

•   Influence quality made on the inhabitants

•   Work endurance (minimum - summer season)
