Summer 2014 takes place in Bucharest - with *workshops*, the *Platform for
Young Performance* artists and the *Symposium About Teaching Performance
Art*. A highly dedicated and experienced team prepares the local events and
has already successfully established contacts with agencies and performance
venues. And - we are enormously proud about it - we have the best artists
at all, which will lead the workshops. IPA Summer 2014 Bucharest is the
inspiring and exciting event ever!

Rocio Boliver - La Congelada de Uva

ROCIO BOLIVER (Mexico) also known as La Congelada de Uva, is one of the
most important women working in body art today. An underground culture icon
in Mexico City, Boliver criticizes repressive ideological burdens that
women endure, primarily in Mexico. Her performance, BALANCING ON THE
EDGE/AGE, explores themes surrounding beauty, femininity and the aging
body. Boliver studied Performance Art at the Tisch School for the Arts, New
York University, with Richard Schechner; and history of performance at Arts
Plastiques du Cégep de l'Abitibi, Quebec, Canada. With a background in
television and theater, Boliver has also worked in music, literature, and
academia.  In 1992 she began her performance career by reading her
porno-erotic texts. Since then her work has been presented at festivals in
Europe, Asia, and North and South America.

Interdisciplinary, multi-sensory and often site and context responsive,
Alexandra Zierle (DE) & Paul Carter’s (UK) practice spans performance,
photography, sound, video and installation, with a strong emphasis on
exploring intuition, presence and the ‘fabric of now’, material and
process-led approaches, and anchoring iconic and memorable ‘live images’.

As a couple in life since 2005 and in art from 2006, Alexandra and Paul met
in the UK in Cornwall on the BA(Hons) Fine Art course at Falmouth College
of Arts in 2003 and began working together with performance towards the end
of their undergraduate studies with a pivotal collaboration entitled Back
to Back, in which the artists intensively explored their relationship
through a black suit sewn back to back.

Jürgen Fritz was born 1958 in the Black Forest in Germany. He studied
theatre and the science of music. 1982 – 1990 he worked as a theater
director, curator and actor, since 1984 as performance artist. He is
co-founder of Black Market International, since the beginning of this
international Cooperation of Performance Artists with whom he works since
1985. He showed his performances in all countries of Europe, the USA,
Canada, Mexico Asia and Australia. Since 2012 he lives as free lance artist
in Hanau. He is co- founder of the International Performance Association.
He is the artistic director of the annual festival of performance art
ZOOM!, co-founder and co-organizer of the Platform for Young Performance
Artists and the IPA Summer. Since 1995 he is a lecturer in performance art
at different Universities in Germany.

artists with performance workshops. Past and future of the perfomance art
will be discussed and solo and group performances will be executed
