Event - Invitation to a public meeting on October 15th 2014 in Paris

Invitation to the public meeting: “Cooperation and social and
solidarity economy in the performing arts, a concrete process’”.
Wednesday October 15th 2014, Townhall of the 12th District, Paris.
A meeting co-organized by 2r2c and the UFISC, in partnership with the
City of Paris, in the framework of the General Meeting of Circostrada
hosted in Paris by 2r2c October 14-16 2014.

As territorial dynamics are recomposed and social and cultural
practices are changing in a spirit of openness towards Europe and the
international scene, artistic and cultural initiatives are developing
new cooperation processes. Numerous and varied, these initiatives help
defend cultural diversity and fundamental rights. New forms of
partnership are emerging. In line with the search for a social and
solidarity-based economy, they take the form of collective
associations, territorial centers of economic cooperation or
cooperative groups. As they set in motion, they work to define new
standards, with the notion of culture as a common good.

How do these initiatives create partnerships with territorial players
(universities, public policy makers, businesses, social players…) and
citizens? How do they build a social cultural economy on a European
scale?

We invite you to this public meeting that will allow, after an
introductory lecture , to put into perspective in concrete terms these
questions through several stories of artistic and cultural initiatives
(artistic collective, cooperation center, European experience). These
exchanges will be completed and put into discussion by the analysis of
experts engaged in the assistance of European projects.
