David Juliá (1992) este un voluntar implicat prin actiunea SEV a  
programului Tineret în acțiune în R. Moldova. A studiat arta și  
design la Universitatea din Basque, Spania, lucrînd cel mai mult în  
domeniul picturii și al fotografiei. Din momentul cînd a început să  
se ocupe cu fotografia în 2013 a făcut două expoziții în Cluj,  
România. David este în căutarea unor istorii mult mai expresive.

“Cercetarea mea ține de îmbinarea picturii și a fotografiei.  
Încerc să descopăr cum aceste medii total diferite se pot completa  
unul pe altul sub aspect estetic și expresiv.”

Proiectul se bazează pe legatura dintre portretul fotografic și  
pictura, în scopul dezumanizării subiecților atît anonimi, cît și  
cei pe care îi cunosc, dar fiind și în căutarea unei soluții de a  
îmbina estetic fotografia și pictura prin suprapunere de culori pe  
fotografii. Caut să stabilesc un echilibru între realismul redat prin  
fotografie și pictura abstractă.

David Juliá (1992) is complementing an EVS in Chisinau, Moldova, with  
his studies of art and design at the University of the Basque Country,  
mostly working in the fields of painting and
photography. Since he started with photography in 2013, he made two  
photographic exhibitions in Cluj, Romania and is looking forward for  
more expressive stories.

“My research focuses on the mix of painting and photography and on  
trying to find out how this
completely different medias can work together in expression and  
aesthetic”.

The project consists in the interaction of photographic portrayals and  
painting, in the research of
the dehumanization of the subject – anonymous but at the same time  
known subjects – but also in the research of the aesthetic  
complementation of the two different media, by overpainting the
photos with oil. I’m looking for the balance between the realism of  
the photography and the
abstract painting.
