 Open Call für das Festival _bock auf kunst_ in Hohenems (Vorarlberg),
Österreich. 

Das Kunstfestival_ bock auf kunst_ fand im Sommer 2015 zum ersten Mal in
Hohenems statt. Für die im Sommer 2016 stattfindende zweite Ausgabe des
Festivals lädt ON SITE nun zum Open Call ein. Das einwöchige Festival
wird sich neben einer Festivalbasis an weiteren Locations in der Stadt
ausbreiten und garantiert durch zahlreiche Events und
Satellitenausstellungen ein vielseitiges künstlerisches Programm. Ein
eigens eingerichteter _bock auf kunst - Treffpunkt_ im Zentrum der Stadt
schafft Raum für Diskussion und gemeinsamen Gedankenaustausch. 

 Ausstellungsdauer: 2. Juli - 8. Juli, 2016 (Eröffnung: 1. Juli, 2016)

 *THEMENSCHWERPUNKTE* 

in Auseinandersetzung mit der gegenwärtigen Situation bzw. Geschichte
von Hohenems und/oder Vorarlberg: 

*Wanderung
*Bewegung
*Migration als Kultur in Bewegung
*Interkulturelle Identitäten
*Globaler Mensch als ewige_r Migrant_in
*Herkunftsgesellschaft - Zielgesellschaft

*ABLAUF* 

Die Einreichungen können bereits existierende Arbeiten sowie neue
Projektideen umfassen. Der künstlerische Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf
Performance und Intervention in den Bereichen Bildende Kunst und
Architektur.  

Gesamtbudget pro Projekt (auch bei Künstler_innengruppen): max. 500
Euro. Unterkunft und Reisekostenerstattung nach Anfrage und Rücksprache.

EINREICHFRIST: 31. JÄNNER 2016. AUSGEWÄHLTE KÜNSTLER_INNEN UND
ARCHITEKT_INNEN WERDEN BIS SPÄTESTENS ENDE MÄRZ VERSTÄNDIGT. 

Die Einreichung soll folgende Unterlagen beinhalten: 

- kurze Projektbeschreibung auf Deutsch oder Englisch (max. 1000
Zeichen) 

- bei bereits realisierten Projekten: umfassende Dokumentation mit Fotos
bzw. Videos 

- Kosteneinschätzung 

- Zeitplan

- CV & Portfolio 

ON SITE ist eine auf internationaler Ebene agierende
Non-Profit-Initiative zur Förderung junger zeitgenössischer Kunst. Durch
die Realisierung von Ausstellungen und Projekten im In- und Ausland
sollen internationaler Austausch und Mobilität unterstützt und
Künstler_innen über nationale Grenzen 
 hinweg präsentiert werden. Junge Kunst soll auch Orte erschließen, die
nicht primär für zeitgenössische Kunst bekannt sind oder außerhalb der
gängigen Kunstmetropolen liegen - on site geht deshalb on tour in
Österreich.

OPEN CALL - _ON SITE HOHENEMS: BOCK AUF KUNST_ 

An invitation for project submissions _on site hohenems: bock auf kunst_
in Vorarlberg, Austria. 

The art festival _bock auf kunst _took place for the first time in
summer 2015 in Hohenems and will be repeated in July 2016. The one-week
festival will host events around the town-centre including a variety of
artistic performances and projects. A meeting place in the town-centre -
_bock auf kunst - Treffpunkt - _will be used as discussion and exchange
platform and also host various events. 

_ON SITE HOHENEMS: BOCK AUF KUNST _: JULY 2 - JULY 8, 2016 (opening:
July 1, 2016) 

*Topics* 

dealing with the current situation and/or history of Hohenems
(Vorarlberg/Austria) and/or Vorarlberg artists/architects are invited to
submit ideas for the festival.

*movement
*wandering
*migration as culture in motion 
 *intercultural identities 
 *the global human as eternal migrant 

*PROCEDURE* 

The proposals can be either projects that already exist or project
concepts that have not been 
 realized yet. The artistic focus lies on performances and interventions
in the field of Visual Arts and Architecture. The overall budget for
each project (also for groups of artists applying for one project) is
max. 500 Euro. Accommodation and travel compensation upon request and
consultation.

 For documents larger than 3 MB please use a file-transfer programme
(wetransfer etc.).
 SUBMISSION DEADLINE: JANUARY 31, 2016. Selected artists/architects will
be notified by end of March 2016.   

Please submit in digital form the following documents: 

- A short description of the project in German or English (with a
maximum of 1000 characters). 

- In the case of existing projects: include a comprehensive
documentation with photographs, and an audio or a video documentation of
the work as an external link (Vimeo, etc.). 

- In the case of project concepts: include a schedule of the project's
development and realization  

- a suggested budget 

- contact data 

- one or more curriculum vitae 

on site is a non-profit art organisation working internationally for the
promo-
 tion of emerging visual artists. Through the realization of national
and international 
 exhibitions and projects we aim to encourage international exchange and
mobility as well as to support young artists to present themselves also
beyond their 
 national borders. on site brings contemporary art to new places, to
sites that are 
 not primarily known for its art scene and are outside the usual art
hubs. The exhibition format 
 _on site on tour _plays with the idea of artistic mobility.
