International Fine Art Photography Awards

We invite photographers 18 years and older from around the world to
participate and to submit their finest work. It can be in color or black
and white, using any photographic process and style of camera or
camera-phone.

All entries are submitted online through this site.
No other forms of submission are accepted.

Competition Categories

Photographers may enter images in one or more of the following categories:

Captured Human Experience

Thematic guidelines: Truthful, candid, and objective images of a subject;
images capturing life as it unfolds, life in public spaces, life stories;
documentation of real events. Documentary and street photography fall into
this category.
Technical guidelines: Any image making technique can be used.
Manipulations of color balance, contrast and other minor adjustments such
as those possible with a smart-phone are authorized. If the production of
the final image involves significant changes in the post-production stage
the submission, regardless of topic, should be submitted in the
Constructed Reality category.
Submissions guidelines: The first submission is a jpg in 150 dpi resolution.
If you are selected as a finalist, the final submission is a
2-dimensional, printed, image in size 120 by 80 centimeters (47 x 31
inches) in landscape or portrait lay-out, as well as a jpg in 300 dpi,
minimum dimension 1200 px.
Number of entries: One image per entry. In other words, you can not submit
a series of images as one entry. Any given participant may submit up to 3
entries in any one category. Each entry is subject to a submission fee.

Staged Human Experience

Thematic guidelines: As opposed to the first category, these are images
that rely on input from the photographer, capturing human experience in a
staged setting rather than as it unfolds. Staging can be done in a studio
or simply through the adoption of poses. Portraits, self-portraits,
portrayals of the nude human body and fashion photography fall into this
category. Portraits capture the likeness of a person, people, or animals,
where the face or expression is predominant.
Technical guidelines: Any image making technique can be used.
Manipulations of color balance, contrast and other minor adjustments such
as those possible with a smart-phone are authorized. If the production of
the final image involves significant changes in the post-production stage
the submission, regardless of topic, should be submitted in the

Thematic guidelines: Landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes, and architecture
are appropriate topics in this category.
Technical guidelines: Any image making technique can be used.

as those possible with a smart-phone are authorized. If the production of
the final image involves significant changes in the post-production stage
the submission, regardless of topic, should be submitted in the
Constructed Reality category.

modifications in the production and post-production stages are authorized.

If you are selected as a finalist, the final submission is a
2-dimensional, printed, image in size 120 by 80 centimeters (47 x 31
inches) in landscape or portrait lay-out, as well as a jpg in 300 dpi,
minimum dimension 1200 px.

Student Competition: Fashion Photography

About this Category: To decide whether you should submit in the Student
Competition: Fashion Photography category, keep in mind that this award is
a scholarship to study photography in the MA in Fashion Film and
Photography program at Paris College of Art. The scholarship is not a cash
payment but a tuition reduction, so you need to be admissible and to
enroll in the program in order to benefit from the award.

Thematic guidelines: Images with a focus on fashion (i.e. fashion
photography, portraits, fashion editorial, beauty photography, product
photography, still life photography, are possible topics in this
category.)

modifications in the production and post-production stages are authorized.
Submissions guidelines: The first submission is a jpg in 150 dpi resolution.
If you are selected as a finalist, the final submission is a

Student Competition: Photography & Image-making

About this Category: To decide whether you should submit in the Student
Competition: Photography and Image-making category, keep in mind that this
award is a scholarship to study photography in the MA/MFA in Photography
and Image-making program at Paris College of Art. The scholarship is not a
cash payment but a tuition reduction, so you need to be admissible and to
enroll in the program in order to benefit from the award.

form (i.e. fine art, social documentary, photojournalism, street

(i.e. analog and digital photography, all kind of alternative photo
processes, are possible techniques in this category.)
Submissions guidelines: The first submission is a jpg in 150 dpi resolution.

2-dimensional, printed, image in size 120 by 80 centimeters (47 x 31
inches) in landscape or portrait lay-out, as well as a jpg in 300 dpi,
