 <>Although the title of the public talk refers to Moldova, the purpose is to approach the land from a horizontal perspective, from the situated level, where the contradictory and complex politics and the knowledge of inhabited places become a common ground, challenging the politics of essentialism with regards to Moldova and its identities. A body of the lived environment, commodified, subjugated and disappearing turns into a site of belonging through collective action. The public talk brings together different practices in urban space that transform concrete places and relations within and between communities through self-organisation, participatory infrastructures or research practices. The focus is on how the agency of seemingly mute places can be activated, so that they become sites of learning, gathering and experimenting, fostering social, biological and cultural diversity.
