[oberlist] Reading Together Rosa Luxemburg's "Leninism or Marxism" (1935)

The group Reading Together invites all interested to join online sessions
on "Leninism or Marxism" (1935) by Rosa Luxemburg. The group meets weekly
on Friday 15-18 and Saturday 9-12 CEST, and is led by 1+1 from Iasi,
Romania and Social Center ZaČin from Belgrade, Serbia.

In June 2023, we will start reading and discussing Rosa Luxemburg’s
political pamphlet "Leninism or Marxism" which reflects the disagreement
within the Marxist movements in the years before the 1917 revolution in
Russia. We will go through this 13-page long text with a fine-tooth comb
and discuss this important question:

”How to effect a transition from the type of organization characteristic of
the preparatory stage of the socialist movement -- usually featured by
disconnected local groups and clubs, with propaganda as a principal
activity -- to the unity of a large, national body, suitable for concerted
political action over the entire vast territory ruled by the Russian state?”

We are an international group and our online sessions are held in English.
We are looking forward to reading together, to posing new questions and
thinking of possibilities.
The sessions are recorded so that participants can refer back to them or
listen if they cannot attend a particular session.

Our first session is scheduled for June 2nd, 2023.
