Tradition & Innovation, Theme: Global Intrigue

Theme: GLOBAL INTRIGUE with the concept to cognize how globalization, a
characteristic feature of the beginning of the 21st century, is being
reflected in textile and fiber art on the world art scale. How innovations
caused by the globalization get on with traditional in cross-cultural
contacts? How do textile artists update their time in the context of
contemporary surroundings?
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The Triennial is open for professional textile artists as well as artists
of other disciplins, working in textile design and fibre art.
There is no limitation of techniques or materials. The priority will be
given to the innovative approach of the theme.
Participation of each artist is limited to one piece of work only.

The maximum dimension of the piece of work is 3mx3mx3m; works should be
without frames. Exhibition space in the Exhibition Hall Arsenâls is
suitable for mural works as well as fibre art objects and installations.
The artist should submit one recent work only (2005-2007); not displayed
in large international shows before.

The work will be judged from CD’s (300 dpi, jpg format), containing the
following data:
1) full size of the work;
2) detail of the work;
3) artist’s photo;
4) short artist’s CV;
5) short concept of the work.
CD will not be returned to the artist.

The Entry form, duly filled in (in English – in block letters) must be
added to CD and sent together in one envelope by post.
