The main aim of the foundation is to provide space: permanent studios for
its members, project spaces, temporary guest studios and residencies.
Several communal spaces are used by members and guests for artistic and
social activities where exchange of ideas can take place. Visiting guests
contribute to a continuous flow of works and ideas. Over one hundred
artists and architects have made use of the guest studio program which
began in 1988.
Combined with studioSince 1987 B.a.d offers guest studios for artists,
both from the Netherlands and abroad.

There are 2 studios that include a place to sleep and 1 which is just a
working space, there is a communal kitchen and bathroom. The size of the
studios is approximately 49 sq/m to 63 sq/m.

In 1991 Foundation B.a.d moved to its current location, a former school
building, in an urban area near the Maas river's southern harbours. The
building offers a lot of opportunities and excellent studio-spaces.
