As the world celebrated 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall,
Moldovan artist Tatiana Fiodorova filed an official complaint to ARTE.TV
<http://arte.tv/>.

In early October, ARTE published the film “Moldova. “The ugliest building
in the world”, in which Tatiana was the main protagonist of the film.

The film is an integral part of the French project on abandoned buildings
built in the socialist era, and was dedicated to the celebration 30 years
of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Tatiana does not agree with the name of the film and the angle it was
given. The film is more reminiscent of anti-communist horror than a
thoughtful research film.

In a collage created by the artist, she places herself kissing an imaginary
‘West’ on the backdrop of the Berlin wall alongside the famous work of the
Russian artist Dmitri Vrubel “My God, Help Me to Survive This Deadly Love“.

The artist asks why is this Western love so humiliating and insulting? Will
Eastern Europe be associated with communism and always see it as a
potential threat? Why is the West confronting Eastern Europe?

În timp ce lumea sărbătorește 30 de ani de la căderea Zidului Berlinului,
artista moldovenească Tatiana Fiodorova a depus o plângere oficială
împotriva ARTE.TV <http://arte.tv/>.
La începutul lunii octombrie ARTE a publicat filmul „Moldova. Cea mai urâtă
clădire din lume”, în care Tatiana a fost principala protagonistă a
filmului. Filmul este parte integrantă a unui proiect francez despre
clădirile abandonate construite în era socialistă și a fost dedicat
sărbătoririi a 30 de ani de la căderea Zidului Berlinului.
Tatiana nu este de acord cu numele filmului și cu perspectiva acestuia.
Filmul amintește mai mult de groaza anticomunistă decât un film de
cercetare atentă.
Într-un colaj creat de artistă ea sărută un „Vest” imaginar pe fundalul
Zidului Berlinului, alături de lucrarea artistului rus Dmitry Vrubel
„Dumnezeu! Ajută-mă să supraviețuiesc în mijlocul acestei iubiri mortale.”
Artistul se întreabă de ce această iubire occidentală este atât de
umilitoare și insultătoare. Cât timp va fi asociată Europa de Est cu
comunismul și va fi oare întotdeauna văzută ca o potențială amenințare? De
ce Occidentul încă se opune Europei de Est?

В то время как мир празднует 30 лет со дня падения Берлинской стены,
молдавская художница Татьяна Федорова подала официальную жалобу на ARTE.TV
<http://arte.tv/>.

В начале октября ARTE опубликовала фильм «Молдова. «Самое уродливое здание
в мире», в котором Татьяна была главным протагонистом  фильма. Фильм
является составной частью французского проекта о заброшенных зданиях,
построенных в социалистическую эпоху, и был посвящен празднованию 30-летия
падения Берлинской стены.

Татьяна не согласна ни с названием фильма, и ни под каким углом зрения
фильм был создан. Фильм больше напоминает антикоммунистический ужас, чем
вдумчивый исследовательский фильм.

В коллаже, созданным художницей, она целуется с воображаемым «Западом» на
фоне Берлинской стены рядом со знаменитой работой российского художника
Дмитрия Врубеля «Господи! Помоги мне выжить среди этой смертельной
любови».  Художница задается вопросом, почему эта западная любовь так
унизительна и оскорбительна? Как долго Восточная Европа будет
ассоциироваться с коммунизмом, и всегда будет рассматривать в качестве
потенциальной угрозы? Почему Запад по-прежнему противостоит Восточной
Европе?
